To Catch A Thief...

When I walk through your home, I ask myself, "Does this home say, 'Welcome Home?'"
Well, it should.  Nevertheless, "Welcome Home," does not mean  "Welcome Mat!"
Did you know that thieves just love Open Houses?  So, don't be victimized, take precaution to  keep your valuables and financial documents out of sight and locked up!   Let your neighbors know about the Open House.  They can prove to be a great asset to protecting your home as they help keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.

A few other great tips:
1.  Take photos of every room before and after the Open House so that you can detect any changes after visitors have gone.
2.  Lock all doors and windows after the Open House to ensure that a guest has not unlocked it for possible later re-entry.
3.  Consider security cameras and alarms.  If your home is equipped with cameras it's a great idea to leave them on during your home's showing; or, flat out hire a security guard.
4.  Above all hire a realtor you can trust!  Your realtor will be your first defense against getting caught with your drawers open!
As always,
You friendly neighbood Realtor,
Jet
XOXO
